Welcome to the destination in northwest Victual way to another world of mysterious minority cultures and luscious landscapes. The spectacular scenery that surrounds Sapa includes cascading rice terraces that spill down the mountains like a patchwork quilt. The mountains are often shrouded in mist that rolls back and forth along the peaks, offering tantalizing glimpses of what lies in wait on a clear day. The valleys and villages around Sapa are home to a host of hill-tribe people who wander town to buy, sell and trade. If possible, try to visit during the week, when Sapa is less crowded and more intimate. Crowds flock to Sapa for the Saturday market, but a smaller market is held every day. There is plenty to see on weekdays, and there are lots of interesting villages within walking distance of the centre.    Tour Schedules: (Thu/Sat); (Fri/Sun)   Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai At 21:55, board overnight train to Sapa. Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa (Meals: B) Drive uphill to Sapa (38 km). A short trek to Cat Cat to warm you up Day 3: Village Trekking - Hanoi (Meals: B/L) A day is spent with 8 hour trek to visit hill tribe villages. Back to Lao Cai to board night train back to Hanoi.   Important Note: Best time to travel (late September to April), Rainy seasons in Sapa (June to early September) but trips can be done in rainy days. An extra night at hotel in Sapa or at local homestay can be made upon you request. Optional hill tribe markets shall be added on the itinerary on Sat or Sun upon you request Victoria Express does not work from either Hanoi and Lao Cai on Saturday. If you wish to travel on Saturday, you will be requested to use superior local train. Deluxe 2 berth cabin (02 cabins only) on the Victoria Express is quite  limited on the Victoria Express. Should you wish to use a private cabin for your own usage (4 berth sharing), you will be requested by Victoria Train & Hotel to pay surcharges of 02 return train tickets and 1 night at hotel.  Check-in at hotel in Sapa is 12:00 o'clock. Should you want to have early check-in, please kindly request directly to hotel's receptionist and any extra, surcharge shall be billed to your own account. You are strongly recommended not to use escorted tour guide from Hanoi because you yourselves will have to afford him/her round trip train tickets, lodging and boarding.
